Cut/Copy/Paste is a very imp feature n should be present in such kind of phones. I use a SE P910i and it has it, y iPhone doesnt have it, it should be there. Its very useful.
C'mon! You've promoted it so much when you introduced the mac and the lisa back in the eighties and it changed the way you work. Why not doing it in you younger baby?
Another feature that shoould have been on thie Iphone from day one. Again, please add the applications that people are asking for on this expensive phone.
This is a fundamental requirement for my handset. I have a phone that does everything I want it to but an iPhone would be so much better if only I could copy and paste. As it is I won\'t be buying an iPhone until it is in there.

Come on Apple. Steve Jobs' suggestion that the iPhone is Apple's entry in the netbook market brings some of its shortcomings into sharp focus.
I have thought long and hard about getting an iPhone. But this is one reason I haven't. I would like to be able to forward text messages. Along with video cap.
Please have this feature in the next release.. or at least have it an update patch
I used it all the time with my Palm Treo 700
Cut and Paste would go along way to enhancing the iPhone, especially forwarding text messages (my second out of three gripes about the iPhone).
Last item keeping me from chucking my Windows Mobile.
It is a must, I am sure Steve also wants it too!

The phone supports games that make use of it's built-in accelerometer, but no copy & paste? Come on, Apple, it is kind of infuriating.
I can't beleive this feature was included from day one
This is a ridiculous omission. I wrote someone's e-mail address and phone number in notes assuming I would be able to cut and paste it to my address book. I ended up having to copy it down onto a piece of paper and then rewrite it into the phone.

This, the lack of a built in video application and the inability to easily save picture and sound files from applications is holding back the iphone from its true potential
Not being able to cut & paste is a real nightmare as makes life so much easier. I can't believe I can't forward text messages as the most basic of phones can do this very easily!! I am still in my trial period and may return my iphone 3g as it can't do a simple thing ie. forward text messages!! :(
This is supposed to a basic function which was avialble on the phones that were in the market 10yrs ago.
I need copy & paste! Retyping portions of messages and slowly deleting chunks of text is archaic and time consuming. There are plenty of proof of concepts on how to implement this very basic feature so I don\'t understand why it isn\'t here yet...

great phone - an arrogance to think its so good it doesn't need copy and paste, i've only had mine 2months and i\'ve needed to copy text 10\'s of times - apple.....??

I know what's going on.... Steve is planing to charge 99c for each copy and another 99c for the paste... This seems the only logical explanation for this oversight...

Even the cheapest cell phones have copy and paste. It should definitely be included in the next software update.

No cut/paste, no multi-media SMS (MMS), no easy way to attach pictures to emails ... I thought I was moving ahead from my Palm Treo 680, yet it seems instead I moved BACKWARDS to a more difficult experience. The limitations are so un-Apple-like I simply cannot understand this.
