The 'Recents' icon representing the iPhone's call log, lacks proper detailed info
should have opthins of holding 1 seek of call logs up to unlimited, and should be able to delete any certain call from the call log and not deleting all or keeping all
also grouping the same number of call logs will be nice
and why not more info for each call, in the end how much memory will it take, even if the call log was not deleted for a year maybe few megabytes and maybe less than that
Absolutely! I am very pro efficient managing my call log and I believe this is where IPhone really downfalls

I switched from the Blackberry to the Iphone and the call log is the first thing I noticed that the Blackberry does better. Calls from one number are grouped so you can easily view the incoming, missed and outgoing calls. Deleting individual numbers or groups of numbers was also an option whereas with the Iphone it's all or nothing.
I love this device but the absence of a call log covering a longer period of time than the last 80 calls has left me scratching my head. I often conduct business and bill time and call logs are essential in verifying my billing. Without this feature I have to use my phone bill which requires me coallate numbers with the names they represent (info that is already present on the phone).
Needs to be much longer too, at least a month or longer (my 5 year old treo 650 held years worth, it's only text how much space could it take?)

C'mon! Give me detailed call info. Who, where, how long. Most of the info is already there. Just give me call duration. Please?
Absolutely essential along with selective deletion. Delete all or nothing? What's up with that?
This is a very basic feature present in all other phones.
Ability to differentiate incoming and outgoing calls by using some icon, and call duration for all the calls.
This is a particularly irksome deficiency of the iPhone. I cannot tell the call duration or whether I initiated the call or it was an incoming call.
I would like to see length of call and whether it was incoming or outgoing.
The default call log is missing A LOT of basic call info that the phone already captures anyway, we just don't get to see it!!!

The Recents section is stupid and crippled. For crying out loud, can't you give us basic info like how many times we've called the number and they've called us plus how long we've talked, total?! My FREE cell phone does this.
I don't understand how you not include this feature with the way technology is today. This is supposed to be the best unit out and you are lacking key features.

This is an extremely annoying omission in iPhone.
The call log is muddled and needs some clarity. If i dial and receive calls from the same person a number of times, the log either registers as received or dialed but not both according to the call. Duration of call timer is also important to me (not just when the call was placed or received). That should be a necessity if its to be touted as a business phone.
